It is with great sadness that I report on the sudden passing of my friend, Ahsin Rasheed. Ahsin was graciously one of the first interviews I did for Baltimore Internet Radio.
He talked about how he grew his business internationally but what made his face illuminate was when he talked about his family and employees. They were more important to him than any business acumen he possessed. He was a great supporter of the station and its initiatives including generously hosting a conference for the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy at his headquarters in June 2014.
I will host this tribute to him for as long as the station exists. Goodbye my friend, you were as everyone hopes they will be, a kind and giving person of and for, the people.
“We are sun and moon, dear friend; we are sea and land. It is not our purpose to become each other; it is to recognize each other, to learn to see the other and honor him for what he is: each the other's opposite and complement.” - Hermann Hesse
